Last Call at the Oasis

2011 · Dir. Jessica Yu · 105 min · IFC Films · Tribeca · Critics' Choice Nom.

America is running out of clean water. Last Call at the Oasis goes to the front line.

Synopsis

The United States has a water crisis. It is not coming – it is already here. Contamination, depletion, mismanagement, and wilful ignorance have put the country's most fundamental resource under threat.

Directed by Jessica Yu, Last Call at the Oasis investigates through the scientists, activists, and communities already living with the consequences. From California's Central Valley to the chemical plants of New Jersey, the film makes an invisible emergency visible.

The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2011 and received a Critics' Choice Documentary Award nomination. It was distributed by IFC Films.
