Synopsis
A divorced American writer (Ethan Hawke) arrives in Paris, hoping to reconnect with his young daughter. When circumstances strand him in a rundown neighbourhood, he takes a job in a mysterious night-time operation he cannot fully understand – and begins an affair with an elegant widow (Kristin Scott Thomas) who may not exist at all.
Paweł Pawlikowski's psychological thriller dissolves the line between desire and delusion, drawing Hawke through a labyrinth of Parisian shadows where every relationship carries a price.
